Wine Harvest Experience 100.00 / per person

  • 3 hours duration
  • 2+ age
  • Aveiro
  • Countryside

A unique local experience where you will learn how to harvest grapes and produce your own wine. Yes, that's right! Explore our vineyard as if it is your own and become a Portuguese winemaker for a day. Learn more about different grape varieties, make your own blend, and create some remarkable memories.

Our family has more than 80 years practice in wine production and agriculture, producing around 2000 litres of delicious wine per year. We would like to share our expertise and passion with people that are interested in homemade production of wines, juices, jams, liquors and even goat’s cheese. Embark on a traditional and manual wine harvest day experience that includes a tour and traditional and sustainable harvest at our vineyard. Our methods are manual heavy and processes are easy to follow, giving a full understanding on production and richness about inherited agricultural systems and culture. You will be able to explore new sensations during the wine tasting that is followed by a poolside farm-to-table fresh lunch prepared by Ana and her team at our farmhouse, just a few blocks away. Later, you will participate on the last and playful step of the grape process: stepping and stomping. We will end the day by having some homemade wine and treats by the pool.

    The Farm

We will show you how to plant, grow and harvest our organic produce. We’re very proud of our ancient traditions in agronomics, so we really appreciate it when guests want to learn our ways and take part in the production process. Our plantation grows oranges, olives, and other fruits and vegetables. We also have a good number of farm animals — goats, ducks, chickens, rabbits and geese. All these are where we get our home cooked meals from wines, juice, meat, and cheese. Give a special thanks to Ana’s culinary skills and an extra hug to show your appreciation, she’ll be super happy.

    The Lunch

One of the things we care about the most is that the menu is the reflection of the best of each season. If we respect the seasonality of each product, we will guarantee a richest taste, a best nutritional value and an unique experience… And because we only work with seasonal products the menu changes with the rhythm of each season. And that’s why the menu varies.

    THE MEAL

Before everything, our bread, olive oil with fleur de sel and sauces

To start… a delicious Soup with the taste of our garden.

A starter where the vegetables are the main character.

To main dishes… one vegetarian and other with meat. But in both, vegetables have a special spot. The meat will be another element in the dish and not the element of it.

To be accompanied: a homemade wine from our harvest.

And because we couldn’t finish in a different way… the desert and coffee or tea.

KID’S MENU (UNTIL 10 YEARS OLD) Composed by a soup, a main course with meat, vegetables and a side dish and dessert. To drink: a mini fresh juice.
